Drew McGee
Drew McGee (affectionately called “otter pup” by some of his friends) was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT to a liberal LDS family. He went to high school at West High School and graduated in 2009. Shortly after high school, Drew was recruited to be part of the Utah Pride Center (now Utah Pride), starting out as an intern to Michael Westley, the Special Events Coordinator at the time, working mainly on the Utah Pride Festival. Through the long hours and hectic months leading up to the Utah Pride Festival, Drew gained a deep love and respect for the work Utah Pride does and the role it plays in celebrating and nurturing the growth of the diverse LGBT community in Utah.
Drew loves the diversity that the LGBT community represents, including the bears, otters and cubs that growl their way around town. He thinks that whatever body type you are (skinny, hairy, chubby, or anything else), you should embrace that and take confidence from being who you are!
Drew currently lives in Salt Lake, is in a relationship, works at the Utah Pride Center and is an undergraduate at the University of Utah studying psychology. He will eventually pursue a Ph.D in Psychology, to eventually work with children and adolescents.
