Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, who appears as a judge on ‘The Voice,’ spoke about his gay brother Michael in an interview with ‘Out’ Magazine. “I can single-handedly dispel any ideas that sexuality is acquired. 1980s music icon Cyndi Lauper is an avid supporter of gay rights, and a lot of that stems from her family life. Her sister,Ellen, is a lesbian, and Cyndi has said that, “My sister is a lesbian — and she’s one of the most fantastic people I know. It’s a family issue. If you can’t vouch for people in your own family, who are you going to vouch for?“
Richard Gere
Actor Richard Gere is an advocate for gay marriage rights and stands firmly against California’s Proposition 8 gay marriage ban. When speaking on the subject, he has brought up his sibling David: “My brother is gay and he got married in that brief period when gay marriage was allowed in California. He has two great kids and is a wonderful father.”
